For the last seven days, folks from all over (literally as far as Thailand) have been entering my very first book giveaway of Anne Jackson’s life-changing book, “Mad Church Disease.” I have been pretty vocal about why this book is special to me. Beginning NEXT Wednesday, my friend Pastor Jason Stasyszen and I will be doing a weekly book discussion on this book. And we wanted to kick it off by giving away five copies. I happened to have three spares and he has two.
What a week it has been! 88 entries. 40 blog comments. Countless tweets, retweets, Facebook messages, and MySpace bulletins later, we have winners! To find out Jason’s winners, you’ll have to visit his site.
My three winners are:
1. @makeadiff21 (a.k.a. Ginny)
2. @babylukesmom (a.k.a. Mary)
3. @Shinyhalo316 (a.k.a. Mable)
Congratulations, ladies! Although I used a random number generator to choose the winners, I thought it was pretty cool that they were also the three with the most entries. Ginny had 17, Mary had 11, and Mable had 8.
For those of you who did not win, please find yourself a copy of the book and join us next Wednesday when we begin the discussion. Jason and I will be alternating sites each week. He will host next week at his site (I’ll provide a link on my site so you can get there easily) and I will host the following week at my site.
I really believe that if you read the book and let it get into your heart, it will change the way you do ministry, the way you do life, and most importantly, the way you relate to God.
If you have any doubts, I suggest you go read the first chapter of “Mad Church Disease” on the author’s (Anne Jackson’s) website. (The link is on the right…)
If you have any questions or comments, let Jason or me know. Otherwise, we’ll see you next Wednesday!
Wait…you could enter more than once? Grumble…
Congrats, ladies!
Yayyy for Ginny, Mary and Mable! Congrats ladies.
Woo hoo! Excited for the book club to start- I know God is going to do some great things in all of us. Thanks Sarah! 🙂
Yay me! I’ve never won anything. And I’ve been wanting this book for awhile.
Thanks for doing this, Sarah (and Jason). I look forward to discussing the book with y’all.
